Attenuation of propofol induced pain by thiopentone sodium, fentanyl and lignocaine: A comparative study

Propofol is one of the most popular intravenous anaesthetic used for induction and maintenance anaesthesia sedation in outside operating room. Its role valuable especially day care surgeries with larngeal mask airways. Because high incidence pain on propofol injection (POPI) numerous interventions have been tested to prevent this including use different drugs physical measures as well combination methods. In this. study effect pretreatment thiopentone sodium, preservative free fentanyl, 2% lignocaine reducing induced 4 point scale.
